In a landmark event in the journey of Age Care Foundation, the Bhoomi Pooja for the integrated center for Geriatric & Palliative Care at Gambheeram was performed on 7th August 2022. The project supported by Free Polio Surgical & Research Foundation, Visakhapatnam, who have provided one acre of land, will herald a unique health care facility of its kind in Andhra Pradesh
The foundation stone was laid by the hon’ble Minister of Industries, Infrastructure & IT, Govt. of AP, Sri.Gudivada Amarnath and the event was graced by the precence Dr S V Adinarayana Rao & Dr R Sasiprabha, Managing Trstee & Chairman of Free Polio Surgical & Research Foundation and trustees, well wishers, voluneers & staff of Age Care Foundation.
Age Care Foundation thanks State Bank of India for their valuable support in the form of a fully equipped medical van, which was donated on 28-07-2022, under the Bank’s CSR initiative. The vehicle was handed over by respected Chief General Manager, SBI Amaravati Circle, Shri.Naveen Chandra Jha to the Chairman Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation Shri.G.Sambasiva Rao, in a function organised at the Administrative Office, SBI Zonal Office, Visakhapatnam.
Shri.Manmaya Pandal, Deputy General Manager-SBI, Dr.K.Kumar Raja, Vice-Chairman, Age Care Foundation, Dr.N.S.Raju, Managing Trustee, Shri.R.Srinivasa Rao (Nivas), Trustee, Age Care Foundation, AGM & Staff of SBI, Volunteers and Staff of Age Care Foundation were among those who attended the event.





Dr Murali Krishna Voonna, Managing Director of Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Mr G Sambasiva Rao, Chairman of Age Care Foundation signed the MOU.
On 29th June 2022, Age Care Foundation joined hands with the renowned Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute, Visakhapatnam, to provide “Comprehensive Palliative Care” to patients who are in need of such services. “Continuity of care” will be ensured across different health care settings including Out patient department, Hospital and Home of the patient. Hospice care also will be provided to few patients who may need them at some point in the course of illness.
Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is a well established center of excellence for comprehensive cancer care. It provides seamless cancer care under one roof through services like diagnostics , state of the art therapies that include Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and Symptom management to meet the needs of oncology patients.

After the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic and easing of infections, the geriatric out reach clinics in the interior tribal places of Paderu and Chodavaram resumed to reach the pre-covid level of patient registrations. Within the city also the geriatric clinics at eleven different locations are being held to serve the needy.
